A Note From Beth and Neill

Transition,

Once again the seasons are beginning to transition and with this sometimes comes other transitions as well. We don't know about you, but we're experiencing quite a bit of transition in our lives.

Beth's mom came down with pneumonia and ended up in the hospital. This is the first time Mom's been seriously ill. As a result, we are considering the possibility she will need more regular support--transitioning from total self-sufficiency to more dependence.

Our son Spenser is also going through a major transition. Curiously enough, his transition is going from being mostly dependent to becoming more and more self-sufficient.

You've probably experienced that some transitions are more joyful than others, but all are part of life. The one thing about life that stays the same is that, given time, things will change.

You've probably also found, like we have, that these transitions can be somewhat stressful.

Like the helpless feelings we've been experiencing with Mom in the hospital and relying on others to support her recovery. Or the mix of joy and trepidation as our son ventures out into the big-wide world on his own.

Whenever you're in transition some level of stress and anxiety is possible. And stress is no fun for any of us. So as the seasons change, the kids get settled in back at

school, and we start transitioning into the holiday season, we suggest you pay attention to your stress levels.

Monitoring how you feel and managing any stress you notice is essential for creating and maintaining successful, satisfying relationships and for experiencing a joy-filled life.

In today's eZine we offer an article on coping with stress and some resources that have supported us very well in our time of transition.

We hope they'll support you as well.

Until next month, as always --
Expect the best.

With love and gratitude,
Beth and Neill

by Beth Banning and Neill Gibson

Are feelings of panic and anxiety consuming your world? One of the primary symptoms of anxiety is feeling uncomfortable and thinking you are trapped or stuck. Being stuck starts by dwelling on things you're worried about instead of taking action. By not taking action, you're giving yourself no option to do anything else but worry. And excessive worry almost always leads to feelings of anxiety and in extreme cases to panic attacks. Here you will find three simple questions you can use to bring relief before panic attacks occur.... Read More>>

Internet Art Therapy for Stress Relief - kinda

Wow -- internet art therapy with Jackson Pollock -- and totally without cost!

Have you found that when you're feeling stressed out, stepping away for a moment and doing something a little artistic helps you feel more relaxed?

We found this great little website that makes being creative easy and fun.

Click on the link below. After the page loads move your mouse around on the blank canvas at the end of the room until you see a hand and a bright area.

Click there and the little man will move to the canvas. Then you can use your mouse pointer to start painting just like Jackson Pollock ... well something like Jackson Pollock.

When you're done with one color move your mouse to the middle of the room so you get a bright area, click it and then stand back and admire your art work. When you go back to a canvas you'll be painting with a different color.

You can paint on all three canvases in the gallery setting.

Just for fun ~ try it for yourself ~ splatter away.

You can start splattering at: http://www.ipollock.com
