A Note From Beth and Neill

New Year - New Beginnings

Hi there,

Amazing! The new year's here and January is almost gone! But thank goodness it's never too late to start fresh. One step in a new direction is all it takes to create a fresh start--a new beginning.

Every year around this time we recommit to consciously creating the life we love, rather than dealing with the one that happens to us. We look around, survey our lives and choose the areas where we'd like a fresh start.

This year we have chosen the area of home and family. With Beth's mom recovering from her illness and needing more support, we've realized that having her move in with us would be the most wonderful thing that could happen.

With that in mind, one of our first goals for 2008 is to find a new home that will suit all of our needs, and then move Beth's mom in with us.

If you're like many of us, in the past you've probably made New Year's resolutions or set goals that have fallen to the wayside by mid-March - or sooner.

This month's article is dedicated to support you in achieving your goals and reaching them ASAP.

We hope you enjoy this issue and that it supports you in having the most joyful, prosperous, and successful New Year ever.

With love and enormous respect,

Beth and Neill

Focused Attention Update

New Age Self-Help Blog

If you have been reading our eZine over the last few months, you've heard us talk about the New Rules Quiz that's coming soon.

After climbing a fairly steep learning curve, we expect to have our New Age Self-Help blog up and running by the end of next month and the quiz ready to play by the March edition of the eZine.

The quiz will be a monthly feature in our eZine and linked to an interactive version hosted at our New Age Self-Help blog site. This blog will focus on supporting your ever evolving personal development and spiritual growth.

You probably know that we help people learn a brand new set of skills and understandings--new rules for navigating their way through life. Why is this important?

Most of us go through life only equipped with the set of cultural understandings we learned while growing up. Mapping out a new direction for our lives requires learning a new set of navigation skills.

The new rules we offer in our Focused Attention materials and programs are quite different than the ones we've all learned, and so they can take some getting used to. But, as you get used to them you soon start to see how much they can help you experience more of what you want in life.

The New Rules for the Game of Life Quiz

The quiz will feature a statement that highlights the differences between the Old Rules that our culture teaches us to play by and these New Rules for the Game of Life.

You play by clicking on whether you agree or disagree with the statement and then read our, possibly quite unexpected, response on the blog.

We'll report the percentage of people who agreed and disagreed with the statement. You'll also be able to read other people's comments about our response and post your own comments at the blog.

To wet your appetite, here are some sample statements that we might include in the quiz.

How strongly do you agree or disagree with this statement:

It's important to build children's self esteem by telling them when they've done a good job.

How strongly do you agree or disagree with this statement:

People who harm others should be ashamed of their actions.

Stay tuned, you might be very surprised by our answers.
