Course Correction
Have you re-evaluated your
choices lately?

Hi {!firstname_fix},

Can you believe it's already the middle of December? We don't know how this happened. It seems like July was here only moments ago.

A week ago we realized that, though we had sent our Thanksgiving card (and thank you everyone who responded with such warm wishes in return), we never sent out our November eZine.

If you've been with us for any time you know that keeping our commitments is very important to us. We said we'd send a monthly eZine and--dang it--that's what we're gonna do.

Well here it is the middle of December and, with all our commitments, not only did we miss the November eZine but the December eZine issue is already due. Stress, concern, and waves anxiousness fill the air.

Luckily, we have tools to deal with these things--we know that something is amiss whenever we're feeling those ways. So we stopped and re-evaluated our choices.

We chose to do a monthly eZine. We chose to take on as many other commitments as we have. And we've chosen on a regular basis to live a happy life.

Well, stress, concern, and waves anxiousness don't add up to happiness in our book. So what is there for us to do?

First, what's the stimulus: thinking about preparing the monthly eZine. So what's preventing us from feeling good about getting our monthly eZine out on time each and every month?

We discovered that it comes from putting out a monthly eZine with as much content as we do. This simply requires more time than we can comfortably put in given all our other commitments. Forcing this to fit into our schedule has become stressful for us.

Now we could look at this as a "problem" or we can do as we tell others and focus on what we "do want" instead.

What we want is to contribute--to share all the things that have helped us enjoy our lives more. To support others with the things we've learned that help us have satisfying relationships with our friends, family, and the people we meet.

We love sharing these things with you and we wouldn't want to stop for any reason. Offering our eZine is one way we satisfy our desire to contribute.

We figured out that it's getting all these pieces ready all at once that makes preparing the eZine stressful for us.

 

 

 

 

The good news is that there is always more than one strategy to help you experience what you want--if you understand what you value.

So we've decided to try something new. From now on you'll hear a little less from us each time, but a little more often.

We're going to break the eZine into mini-issues, and as soon as one is ready we will send it to you.

One week you may get an article, another week you may get a link to a blog post. The next time you may get an Is It Really True? quiz question, and so on. In other words, as soon as we have something ready that we think you'll enjoy or will support your life, we'll send it.

This may make digesting these bite-sized pieces easier for you too. :-)

As with anything: You never really know if you want something until you've got it. Only after that can you know if you like it or not.

So, either this will work for us, or not. And if it doesn't all there will be for us to do is re-evaluate our strategy again. Simple!

Think about it. Is there anything about your life that's not going the way you enjoy. Have you re-evaluated your choices lately?

Now may be a good time, because we're sure you never need to settle for anything when you've got the tools you need to create a happy, fulfilling life.
